Mr. Hata, a Photographer2015.01.16

photo01

He helps me to take photos of my work.

Mr. Hata speaks English and goes traveling several times some time to take photos. His relatives make paper in Echizen Washi Village.

My work this time was yellow and it might have been very difficult to show itself on a photo taken yesterday, but he told me to come over to check them this afternoon. They look good enough so that I can join an international competition with them.

Being proffessional to do something you like is not easy. And just now I was talking on the phone with a doctor at a hospital helping an interpretation of my Chinese students. She was not nice enough at all to her patient, sad to say, to tell her why and how she can be healed. I wish the doctor would have had more pride on her job.

I often think if everyone is more responsible for what she/he does, our society would be much easier and better.

So I try. I am not perfect, but I try to be responsible what I do in papermaking and doing art.
