Echizen Washi

Last night there was a symposium held by  a group called ` We Love Echizen Washi ` ( this might be a very strange translation ! but you can guess who to be its members ... ). Four panelists and one female chairman were discussing how Echizen Washi can become wel-known and wel-used paper both in Japan and in the world.

Well.....  I just noticed when it comes to talking about Echizen Washi and its future, it is always men who stand in front. But it can be women who enjoy using Washi for their hobby or daily use, and who talk with friends about their interesting things and asking for advice to each other. I think this is not a discrimination by gender. We are just different.

Ask women how they use paper first, then you can hear interesting opinions fpr paper products which can have better designs.
