Sho-Hachi Received His Paper Back with Happiness2014.02.27
My friend bought paper made by Sho-hachi; gampi paper mixed with kozo.
Then he, who has been encouraging me to go for art, kindly sent Sho-hachi his woodblock printings. I love them a lot.
What surprised me a little was that Sho-hachi paid so much attention to the paper itself again. He tried to see it through the light and checked its fiber. wow.... he is a genuine artisan in papermaking !
He said, ` Please tell artists it will be my great pleasure to try any kind of paper for them. I want to work for them. `
I was a kind of messanger and I felt grateful for both of them.
