 After I moved in to this house in the village in 2004  I found one branch growing in my garden. I didn't know what it was at first.  The next year I found it was mulberry but not kozo. Usually people harvest kozo in fall but they can steam the branches to peal the bark later. But I don't have that tool, so I am still looking for the best season to do both harvesting and pealing at the same time. 

And maybe this is the right season now for me. ...
